5 Reasons to Visit Napa Valley in the Spring

The quiet, intimate Cabernet Season is now behind us, and Napa Valley is gearing up for the bustle of the busy season. Take advantage of all the valley has to offer this spring. These spring festivities are all within a short driving distance of the Napa Winery Inn, a luxurious home-away-from-home in the heart of Napa Valley. From now until May 10th, we are offering a Spring Sale with special rates on select nights. We hope you’ll consider staying with us during this spectacular season!

Arts in April

Celebrate the arts at the eighth annual Arts in April with live music, art fairs and exhibitions, storytelling, theatre performances, culinary arts, and hands-on activities. The county will also host four central city events, which will highlight the town’s unique cultural landscape. Events such as Yountville’s Art, Sip & Stroll, where Washington Street will be transformed to host 40 artist booths, wineries and tasting rooms, live music, and a food truck roundup. Check the calendar to find a full listing of the month-long events being held at local wineries, museums, and galleries throughout the valley.

Bottlerock

The Bottlerock music festival in late May has become one of the West Coast’s most popular music, wine, craft beer, and food events. The three-day festival features 80+ bands, celebrity chef performances, access to Napa Valley’s best gourmet food, dozens of wine cabanas, craft beer and specialty cocktails, and more. If you were lucky enough to snag tickets to the sold-out event, you’ll be seeing live performances from some of music’s biggest names, such as Bruno Mars, Muse, and Billy Idol.

The Landscape Comes Alive

Following a successful harvest season, the vineyards throughout the valley lay bare during the winter months. It is not until late March when the buds begin to break and this year’s bounty begins to grow. The vineyards once again blanket the valley in green and the yellow mustard flowers give a golden pop of color. It’s the perfect time to immerse yourself in the countryside scenery.

Hiking

With the wetter months behind us, spring is the perfect time to plan a hiking excursion through the foothills of wine country. The valley has plenty of trails at all skill levels to choose from. Table Rock promises sweeping views of the valley for the experienced hiker, and the Lake Hennessey Shoreline Trail loop is perfect for beginners.

Spring Wines

Goodbye Cabernet Season, hello whites, rosés, and sparkling wines! This season’s refreshing wines usually begin popping up at your favorites wineries, just in time for the warmer weather. Keep an eye on your favorite wineries for exclusive events and special release parties.
